The White House – Housing for people with learning disabilities

The team of carers at The White House show genuine love and dedication for those they care for. The White House is a loving, happy home that provides 24-hour care and support for nine adults with a learning disability, living together in tenanted accommodation in Maghull, Merseyside.

The working culture of The White House is that of treating all those that live there as an extension of the team’s own family and involving the families of the residents in this extended household. Regular weekly lunches, with an open-door policy for all families to visit and get involved in family-life at The White House are just some of the ways this culture is put into practice.

The care team at The White House demonstrate this love and care through the team spirit they show in their working-life. A huge part of life at The White House is living a happy, meaningful and fulfilled life encouraging those that live there to take up meaningful activities. Those that live at The White House enjoy a range holidays and activities from foreign cruises to UK city breaks to plays and concerts – life is full and enjoyed by all at The White House.
