Southport Contemporary Arts Network (or SCA) embraces the fact that Southport is home to a surprising number of professional, graduate and community based art practitioners working in various disciplines. The list of creative skills within the group is wide ranging and includes painters, textile artists, filmmakers, photographers, printmakers, sculptors, jewellers, musicians, poets and performance based artists.
In 2012 SCA opened The ArtHouse on Eastbank Street in Southport. This was a venture to move the organisation forward in order to provide a regular showcase of works via frequent exhibitions in the town.
