Provides a range of support and training services for visually impaired people across the North of England. In Merseyside they provide services from the Liverpool Resource Centre and outreach projects in sefton and Wirral. Service user base is predominantly older people, with around 70% being above working age. All their services are focused on reducking social and ecnomic isolation, which is often the case when sight olss occurs. Inactivity can lead to both physical and mental health problems. The majority of their service users have been claiming incapacity benefits for long periods of time and many become isolated from mainstream, work and social opportunities. They provide opportunities for people to re-engage through social and informal learning activities.
