Friends of Hesketh Park
Hesketh is a hidden jewel. It is built on old farmland and was once the orchard for the farm and some of the old fruit trees remain.
The railway forms a boundary on one side and a path runs through the park onto a housing estate. There is an attractive seating area in an open glade.
The Friends group for Hesketh Park are just creating an orchard on a small open area off Mellor Road, Mellor Green, which is quite close to Hesketh Park but not joined to it.
