Ykids works with children and young people and their families; developing individuals who can cope with whatever life throws at them, have plans and hopes for their future and the skills to make their dreams a reality.
Our main area of focus is in Bootle, in some of the UK’s most deprived neighbourhoods ranking in the top 1 and 2% according to the indices of multiple deprivation.
We believe every child has the potential to become great despite their circumstances - and we work to unlock that potential, help them to believe in themselves and make good life choices.
We commit long term to our young people, working with them from the age of 5 through to 18 and beyond.
We invest in young leadership and encourage volunteering through social action projects. We offer opportunities such as an internship, gap year programme, school work placements, accredited training and apprenticeships.
