The Comedy Trust (or TCT) is a registered charity set up in 2002 to run the annual Liverpool Comedy Festival. We develop and sustain new talent. We explore comedy as an art form that can significantly enrich people’s lives. Our core value is to make high quality art accessible to all regardless of gender, race, sexuality, age, religious or political viewpoints.
We aim to encourage participation, explore the positive effects of comedy on wellbeing, develop communication skills and build new audiences. Liverpool has a worldwide reputation for its music, football and comedy. Comedy is an integral part of the city’s cultural heritage and identity.
