The Casey Commission Consultation

Have your say on the future of adult social care. We wanted to make sure your organisation is aware of an important national opportunity, and to invite you to a dedicated session we're hosting to help our sector take part.

The Casey Commission (the Independent Commission on Adult Social Care), chaired by Baroness Louise Casey, is the most significant review of adult social care in a generation. It is gathering evidence to shape a long-term plan for a National Care Service in England, and it wants to hear directly from people who draw on care and support, unpaid carers, and the organisations working alongside them.

Why it matters for us

As local voluntary, community and faith organisations, we see every day the role our sector plays in keeping people well, connected and out of crisis. This is a rare chance to ensure that contribution — and the voices of the people we support — are heard at national level while the future of care is being decided.

Join our dedicated session by registering for the session.

To help our sector contribute, Sefton CVS will host a dedicated Casey Commission session explaining what the Commission is looking for, how to get involved, and gather local views to feed in collectively.

How to get involved now:

Please encourage your service users, volunteers and staff to share their experiences directly, and consider making a submission on behalf of your organisation:

We'd be grateful if you could circulate this to your networks and encourage the people you support to contribute their views. Every voice strengthens the case for reform.
