Ainsdale Community Wildlife Trust was established in August 2013 and was awarded charitable status in September 2013.
It was set up by a local group and has wide community support. Our aim is to protect the part of the Ainsdale dune system lying inland of the high dunes alongside the Birkdale Sand Hills Nature Reserve which is managed by Sefton Council. The Trust recognised the richness of Ainsdale’s environmental heritage and the need to protect it for the local community and future generations.
